Christian Eriksen expresses desire to stay at Man United, says he’ll “seriously” consider new deal if offered
Christian Eriksen has admitted he loves playing for Manchester United, insisting that he’ll seriously consider signing a new deal if the club were to offer him one.
Eriksen is currently in the final year of his terms at United and unless he puts pen to paper on a new contract, he’s set to depart Old Trafford as a free agent come the end of the season.
The Denmark international struggled for playing time last season but seems to have regained his place under Erik ten Hag this term.
He has made nine appearances across all competitions so far this term, registering three goals and as many assists in that period.
Amidst an extremely underwhelming start to the campaign, Eriksen has been one of the club’s better players.
Ahead of United’s Europa League clash against Fenerbahce on Thursday, Eriksen accompanied Ten Hag to the presser and was asked about his future.
The 32-year-old said, “It’s not really up to me when my contract runs out, it’s up to the club.”
