Former Manchester United and Everton striker Louis Saha has said that he expects Wayne Rooney to land a big job in management in the future.

Rooney is currently manager at Championship side Plymouth Argyle who sit 14th in the Championship after nine matches, a good start considering they were tipped for relegation.

The former Manchester United striker has had a tough time in management so far with poor spells at both DC United and Birmingham City where he was sacked after just 15 games. Rooney had a better time managing Derby County, but following a 21-point deduction from the EFL, he was unable to save them from relegation to League One in 2022.

Louis Saha believes that the best is yet to come for his former Old Trafford teammate and that he has the makings of a top manager. He told CryptoCasinosUK: “Wayne Rooney has got an enormous desire for football, and he’s got an enormous desire to transmit that knowledge to players. I would love to see Wayne Rooney managing a big, important club.

You can tell he’s hungry to show that he can manage because of the clubs he’s taken on. Nobody could describe those jobs as easy. He’ll know that he needs to improve to get a big opportunity, but I hope he gets it because he has so much to offer, and he had such an unbelievable playing career.”
