Erik Ten Hag’s side had 10 shots and just under half of the possession in what was a very close game between two seemingly even teams on Sunday afternoon.

The United boss’ future is in jeopardy after the team’s recent form. They haven’t won a game in five matches with their last being a 7-0 win against Barnsley in the Carabao Cup.

The Dutchman may have seen his last as Manchester United manager should the higher-ups decide to sack him during the international break.

His assistant Ruud Van Nistelrooy is currently the favourite to take over the job should Ten Hag leave. However, a 0-0 result against Aston Villa is not a bad result for an out-of-sorts United.
