With Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United’s position at risk, the Reds fanbase have already made their feelings clear on who they would like to see take over at Old Trafford

Manchester United have already been given names to two potential candidates to replace Erik ten Hag. That is based on the verdict of fans who voted in our poll, who believe Thomas Tuchel and Zinedine Zidane are best suited for the role.

Ten Hag’s side sit 14th in the Premier Leaguetable after just two wins in seven games, and have netted only five league goals in that time – the second-worst behind strugglers Southampton.

Some £600million has been spent on 15 permanent signings since the Dutch boss took over, but United are yet to see that outlay pay off. Antony is the priciest signing among those acquisitions and the club’s second most expensive buy ever.

Since arriving at Old Trafford from Ajax for approximately £85million, the Brazilian has managed just five goals and three assists across 56 Premier League matches. But he’s not the only player to have struggled at Old Trafford in that time.

But whether that’s down simply to Ten Hag or a result of deeper problems has been a source of debate among fans and pundits alike, Gary Neville among them. “I feel very sorry for the manager,” he has admitted in the past. “I know a lot of people will say he’s got to do a lot better, and that’s fine, he’s the Manchester Unitedmanager, but there are a lot of big problems at the club that managers have found over the last ten years
